Looks like they ended up in the ditch. The men are working to get the vehicle out of the ditch, and the women are supervising. They are pretty dressed up, and probably on their way to some timely event. Don't know the location or date of this photo, and I can't see the license plate close enough to know where it is from. It was with a group of photos that are labeled from various parts of California.

Oh the stories one could write...one from a man's point of view and the true one from the woman's.
I'd like to see a picture of those three ladies getting out of the car. They look pretty unhappy.
